Composition:
Each capsule contains enteric coated pellets of Rabeprazole Sodium BP 20 mg
Indication:
i)Healing of Erosive or Ulcerative Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD).
ii)Maintenance of Healing of Erosive or Ulcerative GERD.
iii)Treatment of Symptomatic GERD.
iv)Healing of Duodenal Ulcers
v)Helicobacter pylori Eradication to reduce the risk of Duodenal Ulcer Recurrence.
vi)Treatrement of Pathological Hypersecretory Conditions, Including Zollinger- Ellison Syndrome.
Dosage & Administration:
20 mg orally once a day
Duration of therapy: 4 weeks
Side Effects:
In general, Rabeprazole is well tolerated in both short-term and long-term studies. Rabeprazole may sometimes cause headache, diarrhoea, abdominal pain, vomiting, constipation, dry mouth, increased or decreased appetite, muscle pain, drowsiness and dizziness.
Contraindications:
SB-Rabec is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Rabeprazole PPIs or to any component in the formulation.
Use in Pregnancy & Lactation:
Pregnant women: No data are available on administration of Rabeprazole to pregnant women. However this drug should be used during pregnancy, only if clearly needed.
Pregnancy Category: B
Lactating mother: There are no data on the excretion of Rabeprazole into the breast milk. A decision should be made whether to discontinue nursing or to discontinue the drug, taking into account the benefit of the drug to the mother.
